New diary day...... take two

Remember this post? In which I discuss my mission to buy a new diary?

Well, by way of saying well done for completing my degree, my lovely and amazing church wanted to get me a gift. They asked if there was something that would help me either personally or in my ministry, and I racked my brains. I could have taken the easy option of a cheque and spend it on some clothes or something but I wanted to ask for something that I could look at and always remember that my church gave it to me personally.

By sheer coincidence, Mrs M tweeted a link to a beautiful Filofax she was crushing on, and that got me thinking. I have wanted a Filofax for ages, but they are quite expensive. However this one was so pretty. I know I had already bought a diary but I figured this was as good a chance as any to get a really pretty and functional organiser. I also completely rely on having a diary at home and at work so it met the criteria of being both personal and ministerial. I apologised profusely to Mrs M for stealing her heart's desire (she was very gracious) and sent the link off to my line manager.

The following Sunday I was presented with my beautiful new Filofax and a lovely bunch of flowers...

It really is a thing of beauty. It has a section for To Do lists! I also had a look online at the different accessories you can get. I drew the line at a mirror..... but I did succumb to the Post It Notes!

Be still my beating heart....

My old new diary will be given to my niece to play with, so it's not completely wasted! At least having a Filofax will put a stop to the yearly stress of choosing a new one! Yet I still get the excitement of new inserts to fill in. Win-win!

And Mrs M, if you are reading, thank you for the recommendation and I really am very sorry!
